Closing up shop

It is with deep regret that I must announce that effective immediately I am dissolving the Genderlines in-person support group. It has become evident over the past few months that there is very little interest in the group. Most of the meetings of the past few months have been only one or two people besides myself. I founded the group with the hopes to support the trans community and I think that we did that for a time.

If you find that you need a peer support group I suggest you check out Transcend (http://transcendcharlotte.org/index/), PFLAG Concord (https://www.pflag.org/chapter/pflag-concordkannapolis), or PFLAG Charlotte(https://pflagcharlotte.org/).

I will maintain the Facebook group as well as the Genderlines website resources page. I also strongly encourage folks to coordinate in person social events in the future.

Thank you to everyone who attended, helped with group, and lent support to others. It was a great 4 years.

New Partners Group

Starting in March, Genderlines will be offering a support group for spouses, partners, significant others, and family members of trans people.  This support group will meet on the first Saturday of the month at the same time and address as the regular Genderlines support group meetings but in a different room.  The group will be facilitated by Jennifer Dula.  She is a licensed clinical social worker and the wife of a trans woman.  If you have any questions please reach out to info@genderlines.org
